General Notes: June 2006 Sheila Reid wrote to Moira Wishart about Jessie Lawson as follows. . Apparently she was born in a place called Gilgooly. Her parent met on board ship from England going to Australia as immigrants. They ran a bakery at this place and did quite well for some years from the people who where there getting gold from the river in that area. When she was fourteen they moved back to Scotland because the river dried out. In Scotland they had a trunk factory and then her father started to drink. Her Mother was pregnant with Fergie so they tossed a coin to see if they would go back to Australia or South Africa. It landed on South Africa so they moved to South Africa and Fergie was born there. Jessie was the oldest and not sure when Arch was born.
